Adobe Now Offering Software Rental

With the release of Creative Suite 5.5 in May, Adobe will be offering a new “subscription” plan for each of their Suite bundles, and most of their standalone applications. This is helpful for companies who need additional licenses on a temporary basis, and for people who don’t want to pay for upgrades every two years—subscribers always have the latest version.

You can rent the software for one month, or for a full year. The price per month ranges from $29 for Dreamweaver to $49 for InDesign or Photoshop, to $75 for Photoshop Extended and After Effects. Monthly rentals of the Suite bundles range from $99 for Design Standard to $195 for the Master Collection.  Prices are about 1/3 lower if you rent for a full year. Yearly subscribers may also apply their subscription cost to a full purchase of the software.
